The mission of the PTO is to support the students and staff of Davey Elementary School through volunteer and fundraising efforts that will improve the quality of every child’s education and welfare.

The Davey Dash: Inflatables Edition was a doozy! We raised a total of $2,685 and the 4th grade won the Ice Cream Party, beating out 2nd grade by only $45!
Cavs Night!
Tickets are still available, get them fast while you still can! Students will have the opportunity to stand on the court with the Chicago Bulls for the National Anthem Order at https://cavaliers.group/DaveyPTO
Guitar Raffle!!
Win this handmade, Telecaster-style guitar!! Each ticket is $10, and 100% of the proceeds go to the Davey Inclusive Playground Project.
The winning ticket will be drawn on December 15th, just in time for Holiday gifting!

Playground Update
We have been SO busy fundraising, and we have some exciting news to share. It's a lot, so please be patient and read to the end.
First, I want to thank all the Kent community members and Kent State students who have supported this cause by donating or buying raffle tickets for that beautiful handmade guitar over the last few weeks! We set up a quick table on Franklin for the Kent Rocks Fest, and it was so successful, that we wanted to duplicate it at other events. Thanks to Main Street Kent and Off the Wagon - for the young at heart, we also had a booth at Oktoberfest and this past Saturday's Rainbow Walk!
In the last 4 weeks, we have sold a total of 118 raffle tickets for the guitar and raised $1355 so far in ticket sales and donations from just these three events!
Second, Kara and Sam presented to the 100+ Women Who Care Portage County about our project, and they chose us as this quarter's beneficiary! We are unsure of the total of this yet, but we will post with that soon too!
Third, We have received yet another grant from Parker Hannifin bringing their total donation $25,000!
Fourth, we have also been awarded a $3000 grant from Kent Jaycees!
And last, but certainly not least, we just found out this morning that we have been awarded a $20,000 from To Play Too - another non-profit dedicated to building inclusive playgrounds!!
This brings our total raised so far to over $234,000!!! Thank you to everyone who has helped us in the last 4 weeks, no matter the size of that help, it has impacted us and has gotten us that much closer to our goal!

Meetings:
PTO meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month during the school year at 6:00pm. Meetings are typically held in the Davey library. Every Davey Elementary School parent/guardian and staff member are automatically voting members, and we love new faces and new ideas!
Roberts’ Rules of Order Revised & Simplified shall govern this Association when applicable and desirable and when they are not in conflict with the Davey Elementary School PTO bylaws. Meetings are open to the public.
